Pakistani Air Force and Pakistan Armed Forces are currently fighting a battle against the Militants who reside in the Waziristan and Dera Ismail Khan area of the country. On Thursday morning it was reported that gunships targeted several militant hideouts in Dera Ismail Khan and currently the death toll has not been reported.

It is to be noted here that Pakistan and the Militants were involved in a peace talk where both the parties wanted to end up in a ceasefire. However, a move from Tehreek E Taliban saw 23 FC personnel dead as they slaughtered the ones they held in captivity since 2010. Pakistani government, who were holding talks with Tehreek E Taliban, decided to end the peace talks and that is when the first air strike took place in North Waziristan.

Since twentieth of February Pakistani Air Force has been bombarding several militant hideouts throughout the region. The most recent pounding was received by hideouts which are in Dera Ismail Khan.

At first the death toll was reported to be around 25 per attack which the Pakistani military conducted. However, the death toll for the most recent attack has not been reported by any official source.
