It was recently reported from Karachi that a NAB (National Accountability Bureau) official along with his minor son was gunned down by two unknown men as they open fired on him in the jurisdiction of the New Town Police Station of the port city.

Agha Jamil was the Assistant Director of the National Accountability Bureau and was enjoying his afternoon meal in a roadside restaurant. This is where two unknown men, who were armed, spotted him and gunned him down along with a minor who died on the spot.

The NAB official was seriously wounded and was rushed to a nearby hospital. Even though he was treated for quite some time there, he succumbed to his wounds and lost his life.

The deceased was once a DSP in the New Town district. However, he was later selected as the Assistant Director of the National Accountability Bureau.

He was most recently nominated for the Mir Murtaza Murder Case and he was planning to start the investigation soon.

Agha Jamil has reportedly served some time in jail as well.

The police are now investigating the matter and are looking for the person who might be responsible for Agha Jamil’s murder. However, no information has been received on the follow up.
