It was recently reported from Karachi that the former president of Pakistan, General (Retd) Pervez Musharraf, has already left his farm house in Chak Shehzad, an area near Islamabad; and he is on his way to Benazir International Airport. He is expected to fly to Karachi from there.

For now no one is sure about Musharraf’s overall stance and whether he is going to go abroad or not. However, sources claim that he will be admitted in Karachi’s PNS Shifa Hospital, where he is going to receive treatment for his illness.

A source in the security forces claimed that they have worked out a plan to provide Musharraf with full security as he visits the port city of Pakistan. The security arrangements have been made ahead of his arrival in the metropolis. The areas that are adjacent to the Shahra-e-Faisal have all been secured by the security forces.

The former military ruler was recently asked to shift to his residence in Islamabad. Before, he was living in the Armed Forces Institute of Cardiology, where he was said to be receiving treatment for his illness. Currently it is being said that he has developed a heart problem. This is the reason why he is able to take part in his Special Court trial for imposing state emergency back in 2007.
