3 Children Killed in Karachi Bomb Blast

An explosion in the seminary of a religious school this Monday April 28, 2014 has reportedly killed three children and injured many. The religious school is located in the Karachi’s SITE area. Rescue teams shifted the injured to the hospital for treatment. The blast is suspected to be carried out using a hand grenade.

At least three children studying Quran in a religious school were killed by a bomb blast near a seminary situated inside the Jamia Masjid Tahiri mosque in Karachi SITE area. The blast also injured a number of other children in the school.

The injured were moved to the Abbasi Shaheed Hospital and Civil Hospital to receive the medical treatment.
The boys killed in the blast were all between the ages of 8 to 12 years. A number of students present in the religious school were also injured.

The security sources claimed that the explosion was the result of a hand grenade. However, no one has claimed the responsibility of the attack.

Recently an explosion at a tailor shop in Karachi resulted in deaths of four including a police officer Shafiq Tanoli. An other blast killed six including a woman and injured 30 in Karachi on April 25, 2014.
