It was recently reported from Islamabad that the World Bank recently wrote a letter to the Pakistani government where they stood by the stance which is currently being taken by the finance minister of Pakistan. The current Finance Minister, Ishaq Dar, is trying his best to get Pakistan back on level pegging in terms of economy. Therefore, the World Bank stated that they are quite happy with the decisions he is currently taking for his country.

They explained how there are certain issues in Pakistan which are not encountered by every Finance Minister across the globe. Therefore, they were quite satisfied with certain changes which Ishaq Dar has managed to make through his hard work and courage in order to tackle the difficult issues the country is currently facing.

While writing a letter to the government of Pakistan, the World Bank South Asia Region Vice President, Phillipe Le Hourou said,

“I am happy to report that it really was a ‘Pakistan Day’ and Pakistan was shining. It is very clear that we owe this success to the strong leadership of the Prime Minister and to the Finance Minister personally.”

The World Bank also claimed that they are willing to commit and remain engaged to Pakistan in the future.
