Gwadar Port to Facilitate Trade with China and Central Asia

It was recently reported from Karachi that the Gwadar Port is now going to function as a centre of trade to not only facilitate China but also to provide goods and services to Central Asia.

A Chinese delegation recently came to Pakistan in order to discuss the matters and it was revealed that they are fully interested in the Gwadar project. There is no doubt that it is being delayed due to the terrorist activities which have taken place there in the past. However, China is now willing to invest more into the port city so that it can be fully developed in order to enhance trade between China, Pakistan and the rest of the world. This port is going to serve as a key factor to bolster trade between the well-developed China and the rest of the world.

Pakistan is expecting China to invest into the port. This is going to improve the trade between the two countries by $US 3 Billion. And this is only an increase as the overall trade will reach to US$ 15 billion.

The Silk Road will also improve so that the Gwadar port can be linked with the Chinese city Kashgar. This is going to help China reach the Pakistani port by road so the goods can be delivered.
