Suicide bomb blast near Pakistan’s capital city of Islamabad resulted in deaths of 5 including two Pakistan Army Lieutenant-Colonels. The army officers were targeted by the suicide bomber when they were traveling in a double cabin vehicle to a military installation near Fateh Jang.
Director-General Inter-Services Public Relations (ISPR) Asim Bajwa worte on twitter, “2 military offrs & 3 civilians embraced Shahadat when a suicide bomber hit their twin cabin near Tarnol. Shaheeds; Col Zahir Shah & Col Arshad”
The incident took place at 9:30AM on Wednesday June 4, 2014 and Army helicopters were called to shift the dead bodies.
Army has cordoned off the area and search operation using helicopters is being carried out. No group has claimed the responsibility.
