PTI hits out at PML-N for Price Hikes

It was recently reported from Lahore that the PTI Punjab President, Ejaz Chaudhry, came out in the open and directly pointed out at PML-N leaders for not giving the people what they had promised. He stated that the government falsely claimed that it will bring down the prices of certain everyday commodities but according to him the prices have only increased and nothing else.

He stated how fruits, vegetables, yogurt and flour are not available at a cheap rate due to which people cannot afford a usual Sehr and Aftar during the holy month of Ramadan.

He pointed out the names of Food Minister, Bilal Yasin, and MNA, Hamza Shahbaz, claiming that they have failed in bringing down the prices for the people. He said that these two were to keep a check on the prices but they have failed to do so.

He further demanded that shopkeepers who are currently no adhering to the prices should simply be arrested and punished for selling things at a higher price.

Other problems which were also addressed included the high prices of medicines in the market. Moreover, PTI Punjab Information Secretary, Andleeb Abbas, stated that the government is not even fulfilling the promise of “no load shedding during Sher and Aftar”.
