Moderate 5.3 quake jolted northern areas of Pakistan

There are reports of moderate 5.3 earthquake felt in Abbottabad, Gilgit, Mansehra, Nankana Sahib and in surrounding areas this Tuesday.

The tremors created a panic among the residents of Abbottabad, Gilgit, Mansehra, Nankana Sahib who came out of buildings reciting Kalima Tayyaba. The tremor was also felt in  Hunza, Shangla, Ghizar and its surrounding areas.

There are no immediate reports of any deaths or damage as the result of earthquake that shook the ground.

According to the seismological center,  magnitude 5.3 quake was recorded and its epicenter was northwest of Kashmir.
