The Pakistan Army is in a state of war against Tehreek E Taliban who resided in Waziristan. The Pakistani forces decided to evacuate the area and then bombard everything to eradicate the problem once and for all.

While several Uzbeks and militants were killed in the process, there is less detail coming out regarding the matter. There are few who even claim that several innocent lives were lost during the process and the Pakistani forces did not keep collateral damage under consideration.

Major General Zafarullah came out in the open to speak regarding the topic. He agreed that there were certain militants who escaped from the area and fled to Afghanistan. He said, “Yes, they did escape. They had smelled that the operation was about to be launched. Peace talks had failed; the build-up for the operation had already begun. So the leadership abandoned this place. We are colour-blind (in this region). It is not possible to create a watertight compartment where individuals cannot escape.”

The Pakistani government has urged Afghanistan to take notice of the situation. They have asked them to either kill the militants fleeing from Pakistan or arrest them so that the Pakistani army can decide their fate on their own.
