6 terrorists killed in attack on Samungli Air Base in Quetta

Balochistan Home Minister Sarfaraz Bugti told reporters on Thursday that Pakistan Air Force’s Samungli Air Base in Quetta came under attack by armed militants. Six of the terrorists were killed by the security forces.
According to reports, security forces thwarted the attack on the Smaungli Air Base and killed killed six militants.
Balochistan Home Minister Sarfaraz Bugti told reporters that air base came under heavy gun fire by militants who tried to enter the air base. The militants also threw grenades at the base.
Sarfaraz Bugti said that a quick retaliation by the security forces killed six militants. Thirteen security forces personals were also injured as the result of the intense firing by the militants.
Bugti said that militants fired rockets on the air base which landed near the base without causing any loss of life.
Home Minister further said that terorists also wanted to target Khalid air base located in Quetta’s cantonment area. However, two of the militants were killed by the security forces who retaliated swiftly foiling the terrorist attack.
