Former ECP secretary’s allegations are blatant lies, Riaz Kayani

Member Election Commission of Pakistan (ECP), Justice (R) Riaz Kayani, has denied all the allegations against him,  ECP and judiciary for rigging in 2013 general elections on Sunday August 25, 2014 while addressing a press conference in Lahore. Retired additional secretary ECP, Afzal Khan, had claimed that 90 per cent of the elections in May 2013 were fraudulent.

Riaz Kayani told the reporters that Afzal Khan’s allegations are blatant lies without any evidence. Member ECP claimed that Afzal Khan has accused the ECP for rigging after his application to grant extension in his employment tenure was rejected.

Justice (R) Riaz Kayani said that Afzal Khan’s interview was a fixed match against the government questing the timing of the allegations.

Riaz Kayani told reporters that my appointment as the member Pakistan Election Commission to represent the province of Punjab was according to the Constitution of Pakistan.

Riaz Kayani has decided to sue Afzal Khan leveling baseless allegations which were pack of lies. Afzal Khan called Riaz Kayani the most corrupt judge.

Afzal Khan had told reporters that Justice (R) Riaz Kayani was responsible for 90 per cent of the rigging in the elections. However, he did not provide any evidence to support his allegations.
