2 reporters killed by gunmen in Quetta

Two reporters of a News Agency in Quetta were gunned down by unknown attackers on Thursday August 28, 2014. One employee was also killed by the gunmen. Chief Minister Baluchistan Dr Abdul Malik has condemned the killing of the three persons.

Armed attackers entered an office of a News Agency on Jinnah Road, Quetta opened gun fire injuring the bureau chief Arshad Ahmed Mastoi, reporter Ghullam Rasool and accountant Mohammed Younus. The injured were rushed to the hospital for medical treatment however they succumbed to their injuries while being shifted to hospital.

Chief Minister Baluchistan Dr Abdul Malik has condemned the deaths of the three persons and instructed Inspector General police to catch the persons responsible for killing at the earliest possible.

Arshad Mastoi was also the general secretary of the Baluchistan Union of Journalists.
