Qadri ends talks with government

Dr Tahirul Qadri had announced on Wednesday August 27, 2014 that negotiations between PAT and government have failed and there will be no more talks declaring Thursday August 28 as the Youm-e-Inquilab (revolution day).

Ishaq Dar and Zahid Hamid met with the PAT leader who asked government to accept their two demands to extend the deadline for few hours to discuss the remaining demands. PAT asked government to register First Information Report (FIR) against all the 21 nominated persons in connection with Model Town incident along with resignations of all nominated.

Resignation of Chief Minister Punjab Shahbaz Sharif was the second demand from the PAT committee.

Government refused to accept both demands after which the PAT chairman announced that there will be no more talks. Dr Qadri announced that August 28 will be the Youm-e-Inquilab (revolution day) and people will decide what to do next.

Earlier Governor Sindh Dr Ishratul Ibad Khan and Governor Punjab Chaudhry Mohammad Sarwar also met with the Dr. Tahirul Qadri. Governor Sindh conveyed MQM leader Altaf Hussain’s message.

Dr Tahirul Qadri along with his activists is gathered in front of Parliament House in Islamabad to topple Nawaz’s government and formation of national government.
