Information Minister Pervaiz Rashid stated that Pakistan Tehreek-i-Insaf (PTI) chief Imran Khan is building anarchy through “politics of protests on roads” which is causing political insecurity and threatening the country’s economy.

The statement took place on Sunday during a joint press conference in which Prime Minister’s Special Assistant on Political Affairs Dr. Asif Kirmani, President of Azad Jammu and Kashmir (AJK) in Muzaffarabad  were present.

He said, “[Prime Minister] Nawaz Sharif wants to make highways the jugular vein of the national economy whereas Imran wants to create anarchy and violence on the roads,”

The minister underlined that political stability was vital for eradicating terrorism, triumphing  over energy shortages and producing job opportunities.

“Economic stability is not possible without political stability,” the minister asserted.

He lamented that anti-advancement elements are in force and aiming for political instability as the country begins to develop.

The minister also conveyed that as power and employment projects were delayed as political instability to 120-day sit-in cost the nation.

He furthermore revealed that the PML-N had rejected “palace intrigues” and horse-trading for coming into power in AJK as he bemoaned the Pakistan People’s Party-led government had let the people down.
