It is no secret that the neighboring countries and archenemies of each other, pass on valuable information through spies working in both the countries. Recently, two diplomats at the Indian High Commission in Pakistan were found out to be involved in activities to destabilize Pakistan and now they may be sent back to their home country.

The alleged agents of Indian spy agency Research and Analysis Wing (RAW) were identified as Rajesh Kumar Agnihotri and Balbir Singh. Agnihotri is stationed at the Indian High Commission in Pakistan as Commercial Counselor whereas Balbir Singh is working here as First Secretary Press Information. Both these individuals were reportedly running a network of individuals involved in seditious activities in Pakistan.

According to sources privy to the information, Indian diplomatic official Surjeet Singh, who was recently expelled by Pakistan, was also part of Balbir Singh’s secret network.

Surjeet Singh was caught having a fake card of a mobile phone company under the name of ‘Abdul Hafeez’. Later, investigations revealed that he was actually an agent of RAW working in Pakistan.

So far it has not been revealed how Agnihotri and Singh’s malicious activities were discovered, but Pakistani officials are interrogating them to dig out more information.

Earlier this year, a high profile case of Kulbhushan Yadav made headlines. Yadav was a serving Indian navy officer who was arrested from Balochistan while spying for RAW.

A number of Indian spies have been spotted and arrested in Pakistan, passing on crucial information to India, since the time of independence.
