Veena Malik files for divorce from husband after three years of marriage

Actor Veena Malik has reportedly filed for divorce from her husband, Asad Khattak. The two had been married for the past three years but according to sources, there had been differences between the two which started to emerge recently.

Veena filed for divorce from her husband while he was on a trip to the United States earlier this year, and the move really took him by surprise as he was not expecting it.

According to the details provided, Veena filed for divorce on January 30 in Dubai, where the two had been living together since marriage.

“There were issues between Veena and Asad but noone knew about it. Asad is still in shock after she filed for divorce. Asad will try his best to continue the marriage because he does not think it is a practical decision, especially now that there are kids involved,” a source close to Asad told local reporters.

Even through Asad’s Tweets and social media posts, it seems that he is trying his best to keep the marriage going despite the rift between the two. Earlier this month, Asad posted the following tweet; “A successful marriage requires falling in love many times, always with the same person. I LOVE U my world.”

On his wife’s birthday last month, Asad tweeted; “Special thanks to an angel who changed my life, you truly made my life bliss! Happy birthday my love, my world.” Surprisingly, Veena has been re-tweeting his posts as well.

These tweets were accompanied by the couple’s romantic pictures together.

According to sources close to the couple, the differences between Veena and Asad started when she decided to enter the show business again. Apparently Asad wanted his wife to focus on their children, Abram and Amal, but Veena wanted something else as well, leading to fights between the two.
