Noreen Leghari, the female terror suspect who was arrested from Lahore by security agencies confessed to having links with Daesh, which is an international terrorist organization.

Her family said that Noreen had been kidnapped but in a recent confessional video, she said that she was never kidnapped and that she has ties with a terrorist organization.

“No one kidnapped me as I went to Lahore on my own,” Noreen said in a confessional statement which was played during a briefing held by DG ISPR Major General Asif Ghafoor.

In the statement, Noreen says she is a second-year MBBS student from Liaquat Medical University and her father’s name is Abdul Jabbar who is a professor at Sindh University.

In the video, Noreen further said that the terrorist who was killed during the raid, named Ali Tariq, was involved in terrorist activities from the beginning. He had conducted suicide attacks and was involved in the kidnapping of intelligence officials. Another person whose code name was Fauji, was also involved in these activities. During the raid, Fauji managed to escape and he has head money worth Rs 1 million.

Noreen also revealed that their organization provided them with two suicide jacket, four hand grenades and bullets to them on April 1. “These were to be used in a suicide attack on a church during Easter. I was supposed to be the suicide bomber, but security forces raided our home on April 14” she said.

At the moment, authorities are investigating how Noreen was recruited and whether other people are involved in these activities as well.
