PTI’s official website hacked

Yesterday was not a very good day for Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) as one of its MNAs resigned after leveling serious allegations against Imran Khan and the official website of the party was also hacked.

On Tuesday night, a hacker group claiming to be ‘Voice of Pakistan; Death Adders Crew’, hacked PTI’s official website. The hack occurred hours after Aisha Gulalai held a press conference in which she threw several accusations at Imran Khan after announcing to quit the party.

The hackers also posted a message on the website, criticizing the party for disrespecting women. They also said, “We don’t need new Pakistan, we need our old Pakistan, Pakistan Zindabad.”

The hacker group clarified that they are not supporters of any political party but that they will never vote for Imran Khan.

The hacked website remained down for several hours before some measures were taken to do some damage control. As of today morning, the website is re-directing to a YouTube video link showing a clip of Imran Khan. However, the full content is still unavailable.

No one really knows who hacked the website but it appears that the party has garnered several enemies after the Panama Papers case resulted in the disqualification of former Prime Minister, Nawaz Sharif.

On Tuesday evening, PTA MNA from Khyber Pakhtunkhua Ayesha Gulalai held an explosive press conference in which she alleged that several members of PTI including Chief Minister of KP Parvez Khattak is involved in massive corruption.

She also accused Imran Khan of disrespecting women and of sending her inappropriate texts.

All these allegations have been refuted by PTI.
