Australian team’s bus pelted with stones after India’s crushing defeat

It appears that Indians cannot take a defeat well as after the team lost a T20 match against the Australian’s, the cricket team’s bus came under attack while touring India.

According to the details provided, stones were pelted on the Australian cricket team’s bus while the team was returning from Barsapara Stadium to the team’s hotel in Guwahati on Tuesday.

Australia’s T20 skipper Aaron Finch, member of the visiting team, posted a photo of the brick attack on Twitter.

“Pretty scary having a rock thrown through the team bus window on the way back to the hotel!!,” he tweeted.

Captain David Warner, who was also on the bus, during the incident, retweeted Aaron’s tweet.

Such an attack poses a grave security breach that puts into question BCCI as well as the security of the host nation. The host nation is supposed to provide impeccable security to the cricket teams which are visiting for the purpose of the matches.

Ironically, just prior the incident, Harsha Bhogle tweeted:

“Been around Indian cricket for a while but I haven’t seen the kind of adulation I see in Indore, in Ranchi and especially here in Guwahati,” the commentator said.

Meanwhile it is not clear whether the person who had thrown the stones has been arrested or not.

Australia had an eight-wicket victory over India after Moises Henriques and Travis Head piled on an unbeaten 109-run partnership for the second wicket to level the three-match series.

Now both the teams have one a match each and the third match will decide who takes home the T20 trophy.
