Joe Jonas puts a ring on ‘Game of Thrones’ star Sophie Turner

The entertainment world is buzzing with the news of the latest celebrity engagement of singer Joe Jonas and ‘Game of Thrones’ star Sophie Turner. Turner, who plays the character of Sansa Stark in the famous TV series, has earned herself a lot of fame by playing the character.

The British actress, 21, announced the news of her engagement on Instagram by posting a picture of her hand sporting a diamond ring, on top of Jonas’s hand.

“I said yes,” she wrote.

US singer Jonas, 28, shared the same image on his account and wrote: “She said yes.”

The pair have been dating since 2016, but they have remained very private about it. During the time that they were dating, they rarely talked about it in public and also did not release a lot of their pictures together.

During an interview with Entertainment Tonight in July this year, Turner explained, “I think the key to remember is that it’s just like any other relationship and if you’re in Hollywood or if you’re in Africa, it’s all the same.”

She also told The Sunday Times, “I’m in a relationship, but it’s a very private relationship.”
“I’m happier than I’ve been in a very long time,” she told the publication. “I very much isolated myself for a while and forgot what was fun. Going out with friends, going out to eat, not really having a care. And people I’ve met recently in my life have drawn me out of that. It really helps you own those insecurities. The things I tortured myself about before, I can forget about,” she told Business Insider.

As soon as news broke of their engagement, congratulatory messages started pouring in from the world over.

Jonas’s brother Nick was among the first ones to send felicitations online.

Nick tweeted, “Ahh! Congratulations to my brother… and sister in law to be on your engagement. I love you both so much.”

The pair have not announced a wedding date yet.
