Japan is known for its low crime rate and a relatively peaceful environment. However, a violent incident emerged in which a man killed nine people over a two-month period and dismembered their corpses at his flat.

Takahiro Shiraishi, 27, confessed to the authorities that he killed eight women and one man during a two month period. He also sexually assaulted his female victims before killing them. He revealed that he used to bait his victims through Twitter and call them to his flat where he would then indulge in his evil activities.

According to the gruesome details provided, Shiraishi reportedly used to hack the flesh off the bodies and threw them out with the trash. He would then sprinkle cat litter over the remains in an effort to cover up the evidence.

Due to the large number of bodies, he could not dispose off all the pieces for fear of being discovered so he even hid bits and pieces of the corpses in his apartment. In all, some 240 pieces of bone belonging to nine people, including heads and limbs, were discovered inside coolers and toolboxes at his apartment, the Tokyo Shimbun said.

According to details provided, Shiraishi was discovered by the authorities when one of the victim’s brothers, started looking for his sister and in an attempt to find clues, he hacked into her Twitter account.

With the help of another woman, he trapped Shiraishi and informed authorities. The woman posed as an unsuspecting girl and Shiraishi fell into the trap, inviting her to his home. The authorities then took matters into their own hands and tracked the suspect down.

When they entered his house, the found the missing wonan’s bag there and when they asked where she was, Shiraishi pointed to a cooler, where they found her finger.

The gruesome incident has scared the people of Tokyo and the news is being shown on all channels and mediums.
