Reality star Kim Kardashian and her rapper husband Kanye West recently became the proud parents of a third child. The happy parents announced the birth of their daughter, born through surrogate, on Tuesday.
“Kanye and I are happy to announce the arrival of our healthy, beautiful baby girl,” Kardashian said in a message on her app.
The couple thanked the unidentified surrogate “who made our dreams come true with the greatest gift one could give.”
The baby was born on Monday, but the couple waited for a day to make the announcement in order to make sure first that the mother and baby were doing fine.
Kim and Kanye are already parents to two children—North, 4 and Saint, 2. The first two children were borne by Kim herself but this time around the doctors had warned her that another pregnancy might be dangerous for her. Due to this, the couple decided to have a child through surrogacy.
During her first two pregnancies, Kim gave a detailed account of all that she had to go through. Initially the doctors had told her that it would be difficult for her to bear any children, but she managed to have two healthy pregnancies.
Two of Kardashian’s sisters are also expecting babies. Khloe Kardashian, 33, announced in December that she is six months pregnant with her basketball player boyfriend Tristan Thomas, while their half-sister Kylie Jenner, 20, is reported to be expecting her first child soon.
