The former MNA of Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI), Ayesha Gulalai is making rounds on news channels again for her startling revelations against the ruling party. In a recent interview, Gulalai claims that the Pakistan Muslim League-Nawaz (PML-N) instigated her to speak against the army, in return for a Senate ticket.

Gulalai spoke to the media outside the Parliament House on Thursday, saying that she was made the offer but she refused the Senate ticket because this did not sit well with her morals and patriotism.

She said that the army is the only institution which is working for the good of the country, and she did not want to badmouth such a prestigious institute. “Some people preach against wedding festivities and dancing, where some badmouth the army,” she said.

Gulalai further claimed that PML-N only managed to win the NA-154 by-poll elections in Lodhran due to her efforts. She elaborated that the victory of the ruling party was because of her efforts as the deposed Prime Minister, Nawaz Sharif, did not even visit the NA-154 constituency to run the election campaign.

“On the other hand, I led an election campaign on behalf of the ruling party to mend the public opinion against the PTI and reveal the party’s true face in front of people of Lodhran,” said the MNA.

Gulalai first made headlines earlier this year when she alleged that PTI chief Imran Khan, sent her lewd text messages. She claimed that the women in the party were often harassed by the chief and others from the top brass of PTI.
