6- How many people think that violation of traffic rules is harmful?

Hundred percent people think that it is always dangerous for life to violate the traffic rules as it disturbs the balance of traffic on the road. Violation of traffic rules is always causes loss for people’s lives and property. This violation not only puts your life in danger but also become dangerous for many other lives at the same time. It also disturbs the smooth sailing of the traffic which is a very dangerous thing.

7- Should mobile phones be allowed during driving?

Almost all people say that the use of mobile phones should not be allowed in any case whatsoever while driving. If someone needs to talk on phone on an urgent basis, he or she should stop the car on the side of the road for that purpose. However, it is very disapproving thing to use mobile phones while driving which is not only dangerous for the driver himself but also for others. It diverts the attention of the driver and causes severe accidents, which sometimes takes the lives of people.

8- Should commercial buildings be built in the outskirts of the city?

There is also one more aspect which should be taken into consideration. The government building like secretariat or other commercial buildings which are built on busy roads always disturb the flow of traffic and create a mess. Almost 70 percent people say that these buildings should be transferred on outskirts of the city or in such areas where they don’t create disturbance in the flow of the traffic. If these buildings are transferred, the roads will become wide and it will help to decrease the accidents and will also eliminate the factor of traffic jam.

9- Road parking should be allowed or not?

No, road parking should not be allowed in any case whatsoever. The road parking is the biggest hurdle in the smooth sailing of traffic as the vehicles, which are parked on the roads, cover half of the road. These vehicles become a major reason of long traffic jams as it happens in front of the Schools, Colleges and Universities in Lahore. There should be certain areas to be used for the parking purposes without creating any trouble for other people. Government should take step to build proper parking areas to eradicate the hurdles on the roads.

10- Elite class follows the traffic laws or not?

Almost 80 percent people say that elite class violates the rules most of the time. These rich people of Lahore do not bother to follow the traffic rules as they think that their status and position is above law and they can do whatever they want. They are not afraid of anything and they do not even care for other people who can become a victim by colliding with their vehicles.

11- How can we reduce road accidents?

We can reduce road accidents by following traffic rules and avoid using mobile phones while driving. The construction of new roads will also help in reducing the road accidents. All these things play an important part in the improvement of traffic conditions in Lahore. It is the right time to realize the problem which is going to become intense in the next few years. Rapid measures from the government and general masses are required to deal with this problem effectively.
