Wedding is one of the most important day in the life of a couple. Every wedding is carefully planned and a great deal of expense is usually spent in capturing the beautiful moments of the day in order to cherish them in future.
Wedding photography has become the latest trend among the youth these days. Many young entrepreneurs are looking for an easy way to earn money and shooting at a wedding is one such job that has aroused the interest of many youngsters. With just a few thousand rupees investment one can easily breakeven in a short amount of time.
Wedding photographers usually charge around forty to sixty thousand rupees. The more specifications you want the higher the rate goes.
The young entrepreneurs invest about Rs. 80,000 to buy a DLSR camera, learn how to use it. Read a few online tips about wedding photography. Attend a family/friend’s wedding, take a few pictures, edit it using a software with the help of YouTube tutorials. Using discounted prices and family/friends references take a project of the whole wedding event, that’s all there is to it. Some might say easy money!
A storm of young wedding photographers have hit the twin cities, with many photographers earning from Rs. 10,000 to Rs. 30,000 for covering a single wedding.
Becoming a photographer is much easy and requires fewer investments and with no daily expenses the rate of return is very good. The ceremonies can be extended from wedding to party celebrations, new-born baby celebrations. - Learn to use the camera
- Check the market rates of wedding photography
- Start by volunteering in a wedding ceremony
- Learn a software using YouTube tutorials (e.g. Photoshop)
- Make your portfolio of your best pictures
- Tell your friends and family and start to take discounted projects
- Invest in your camera to buy good lenses for better quality and range of pictures.
