I had no idea about Ranbir and Imtiaz before signing Rockstar, says Nargis Fakhri

Bollywood actress, Nargis Fakhri has revealed that she had no idea about Ranbir Kapoor, her co-actor in Rockstar, and Imtiaz Ali, the director of the film, before she signed her debut movie.

The 31-year-old New Yorker described that it was the fantastic script and the story that urged her to sign the picture.

"I had no idea about either of them. For me, doing the film was more like an art project. I just fell in love with the script the moment I heard it," said Nargis.

She might have been linked to Ranbir, but when asked about the rumours circulating in the media, Nargis stated that she has no time for such relationships, as she want to focus only on her work.

The model-turned-actress shot into stardom following her super hit flick, Rockstar – the movie about an ordinary guy (JJ) who turns into a Rock Star (Jordan).

Talking about her experience of working in the Hindi movie, Nargis shared that it was not an easy journey from the ramp to the big screen.

"It was very difficult initially; acting is a very intense job. It was difficult to adjust to the acting environment. Moreover, I had to get used to being in a new environment without my friends or family. But I enjoyed it," she uttered, adding, "I remember
spending 10 hours in the office, from Monday to Sunday, dubbing for my own scenes. I did 5-10 scenes, but I don’t know why they weren’t taken. I was very upset that I didn’t get to dub for myself."

The new actress has been gathering a lot of praise following her terrific act in the movie; however, her biggest admirer so far has been Kapoor scion.

Responding to the question about her feeling after being hailed by Ranbir, Nargis opined that it is certainly a nice feeling to be commended by her co-star – who himself is a hot topic of discussion these days following his impressive performance in the
movie.

"He has seen how hard I worked on this project, and it’s great if your co-star gives you credit," expressed the American fashion model and artist.
