Expectations from Shahrukh Khan’s ‘Don 2 – The King is Back’ – Preview

Farhan Akhtar’s upcoming movie ‘Don 2 – The King is Back’, which will be released tomorrow in the cinemas worldwide, is one of the most anticipated film of this year but the question is whether this movie
will live up to the expectations or not.

This movie, which is the sequel to the 2006 remake, ‘Don – The Chase Begins Again’, will see the King of Bollywood, Shahrukh Khan, and former Miss World, Priyanka Chopra, playing lead roles in it. This
movie has already been released in the UK cinemas and has gathered mostly positive reviews from fans.

As per the sources almost sixty-seven cars were blown up during a chase scene in the film. Moreover, a lot higher octane action is done on the streets of Berlin in this film as a result to which the movie
has the feel of an international crime thriller.

Shahrukh Khan will be seen playing a villains role in the movie whereas Priyanka will play the role of a ‘Jungli bili’. The film is going to be released in almost 3,000 movie prints in the domestic market
and it has 3D release in another 500 screens.

The world-famous stunt director, Wolfgang Stegemann, who has worked on Hollywood films ‘Inglourious Basterds’ and ‘Valkyrie’, has made Khan do some daring fight sequences in the movie. On top of it, it
has been over two decade since Shahrukh Khan is in the Bollywood industry but he has never done a sequel before so this time it is going to be another charm for his fans.

The film has some breath-taking chase scenes through Berlin’s landmarks including vertigo-including 300-feet plunge. Over 75 crore approximately has been spent on the making of the film, which is the last
big release of this year. Adding to this, its satellite rights have reportedly been sold for Rs 37 crore to Zee TV.

Keeping the story, cast, facts and figures in front, it is fair to say that ‘Don 2 – The King is Back’ is going to be a mega hit yet let’s see if the film really does well on the big screens.
