Matt Damon criticises Barack Obama

Actor Matt Damon has criticised US President for not making a significant political change in his time so far. He claimed that the President has let down many people during his time in the office and admitted that
he had made a mistake to support him in the past.

‘The Adjustment Bureau’ actor campaigned for Obama before the presidential election in the year 2008 and has since accused the leader of doing nothing for the people. He added that the President has broken a lot of promises and
does not deserve to hold the same post next time around.

Damon insisted that many people who had worked with Obama have revealed to him that they were wrong in supporting him for the election and that they have vowed not to back him again.

“I’ve talked to a lot of people who worked for Obama at the grass-roots level. One of them said to me, ‘Never again. I will never be fooled again by a politician’. You know, a one-term president with some [nerve] who actually got
stuff done would have been, in the long run of the country, much better,” he was quoted as saying in an interview.

The ‘Bourne Identity’ star revealed that people are unsatisfied with his tenure and the frustration is growing every day. He added that most of the country feels they have been betrayed by Obama as nothing has worked out the way
it was promised.

“If the Democrats think that they didn’t have a mandate – people are literally without any focus or leadership, just wandering out into the streets to yell right now because they are so pissed off. Imagine if they had a leader,”
he concluded.

Matt Damon has had five films released this year of which the best one at the Box office was ‘Contagion’. The film is an action thriller directed by Steven Soderbergh and grossed around $75 million.
