Anne Hathaway, one of the star signings The Dark Knight: The Legend Reborn, has given more clues about the third and final Batman, directed by Christopher Nolan.

In an interview with Los Angeles Times, the actress has described a new scene including her as Selina Kyle (aka Catwoman), Bane and Bruce Wayne as protagonists. A passage that is quite revealing and embedded with some of the images that we saw in the second
trailer for The Dark Knight Rises released a few days ago.

Gotham is a war zone. A madman named Bane has ruthlessly stripped any sense of security for citizens, emaciated and clutching their suitcases with anxiety of a number of refugees, sitting behind a barbed wire fence waiting to see what’s next to blow.

A hooded prisoner is dragged away, known as Bruce Wayne; one of Gotham’s most famous faces, but anxious crowd took no notice, gazing at the black woman  on top of the stairs.

What’s come before doesn’t limit or even affect this new version. It doesn’t affect me because each Catwoman – and this is true in the comics as well – she is defined by the context of the Gotham City created around her.

I love the costume because everything has a purpose, nothing is in place for fantasy’s sake, and that’s the case with everything in Christopher Nolan’s Gotham City,” Hathaway told Hero Complex.
