Timothy Bradley thinks Floyd Mayweather is better than Manny Pacquiao

Timothy Bradley, the current WBO light welterweight champion and two-time light welterweight champion, reckons the five-division world champion, Floyd Mayweather junior, is a smarter fighter than the eight-division world champion, Manny Pacquiao, who currently holds the WBO welterweight championship belt.

Pacquiao and Bradley will lock horns on June 09 at the MGM Grand Garden Arena in Las Vegas, Nevada. However, at Chelsea Piers while promoting their HBO Pay-Per-View fight during a press conference that was open to the public, Bradley stated Mayweather is a much clever fighter than Pacquiao.

“Mayweather is smart,” Bradley said. “He’s a very smart fighter. He’s very fast. He’s clever at what he does.

The 34-year-old American superstar, Mayweather, the current WBC welterweight champion, is currently set to fight Miguel Cotto on May 5 at the same MGM Arena but Mayweather vs. Pacquiao is a fight that people desperately want to see since both boxers are regarded as the pound-for-pound best fighters in the world. Nevertheless, Bradley thinks it will be a Mayweather’s night, if the two ever meet in the ring.

“He’s the best at it. That’s why I think he’s better than Pacquiao. I mean, I would love to see the fight. Pacquiao, I think, will still give him a great fight. But I just think that Mayweather is very smart, man. He’s a very smart, intelligent fighter.”

The undefeated American legend, who holds an incredible record of winning all of his 42 professional fights, including 26 of his wins coming by the way of a knockout, challenged Pacquiao for a fight but his offer was turned down by the Filipino star after Mayweather said he will not have a 50/50 split with him.

Mayweather-Pacquiao fight is in the making for the past few years and unquestionably it will be the biggest fight of the century. It is expected to be the richest fight in the history of boxing – as much as $100 million – if it ever happens.

Well, all said and done, Bradley has also claimed that he will upset the world by beating Pacquiao on the fight night.
