Newspakistan analyzes the best footballer with Pakistani origins playing abroad in the third and last part of this feature series.

4. Hassan Bashir

The attacker who is reportedly on the move to a Thai club has garnered rave reviews despite not featuring for Pakistan on the International front. Bashir, who has played for top sides in Denmark, is just what the Green-Shirts need, as the team has struggled
for goals in the last few years.

Hassan’s talents are undoubted and he is likely to be given a proper call-up by Zavisa Milosavljevic whenever the senior side continue their quest to become one of the better teams in Asia.

3. Luke Dean

One of the few Pakistani players to be involved in the professional set-up in England, Luke Dean is contracted to League Two side Bradford City and is hoping to become a regular for Bantams following some loan spells in the lower divisions.

Able to play in midfield, he should be called for future assignments as he has the necessary abilities to succeed at the highest level and could potentially form a superb partnership with regular starter Adnan Ahmed.

 2. Zeeshan Rehman

The only Pakistani to have ever played in the English Premier League, the defender holds a special place in the hearts of many in the South Asian country.

While they are immensely proud of having someone with his caliber plying his trade with the Green-Kickers, Zesh has also come under scrutiny for not taking his International duties seriously.

Now with Hong Kong giants Kitchee SC, he will look to emulate his form in Europe and perhaps become more involved now that Zavisa has taken the reigns from a certain Tariq Lutfi.

1.  Nabil Aslam

Not many in Pakistan are aware of the 27-year-old but those who are, surely rate him as one of the finest prospects available to don the National colours.

A regular for UEFA Europa League chasing side AC Horsens, Nabil Aslam will perhaps become the first player of Pakistani heritage to play in the prestigious European competition, which currently boasts powerhouses Manchester United and Manchester City.

This accolade coupled with his fantastic ability; surely make him the best Pakistani playing abroad according to this writer.
