‘Jism 2’ is for mature adult audience: Pooja Bhatt

One of the most eagerly awaited films of this year is ‘Jism 2’, which is a sequel to the 2003 hit film ‘Jism’, and the main reason behind the film’s enormous hype is obviously the presence of the Indo-Canadian porn star, Sunny Leone.

While the sensual poster of ‘Jism 2’ is already making waves, the director of the movie Pooja Bhatt has insisted that the movie is going to be a treat for the mature adult audiences.

The original film ‘Jism’, which starred John Abraham and Bipasha Basu in the lead role, did quite well at the Indian box office and it is ranked 92 in the top 100 sexiest movies scenes poll conducted by Channel 4. However, as per Bhatt, the bar is going to be raised much higher this time.

Pooja remarked, “Jism was a love story for mature audience, Jism 2 is for mature adult audience. We are looking at raising the bar in every sense – emotionally and sensually.”

“It would be the story of human heart, crime of passion, revenge, betrayal, the same elements that made Jism, with a fresh story,” added Pooja.

Sunny Leone, who rose to fame during her stint in the Bigg Boss 5, is a household name in India at this point in time and therefore another opinion is that Bhatts have casted her just to cash in on her name. Nevertheless, when Pooja was asked about it, she totally disagreed with it. The director stated that she just wants to show people that models can act in the films too.

Pooja said, “I signed Sunny Leone for the same reason I signed John Abraham. It was instinct. I broke the perception that models can’t act with Jism. Now, I am looking forward to break another perception by signing Sunny Leone, a porn star in Jism 2.”

‘Jism 2’ will feature Leone as the female lead whereas Randeep Hooda and Arunoday Singh will be the male leads in the movie. Meanwhile, Imran Zahid will also play a key role in the much-awaited film.

Well, all said and done, let’s see if ‘Jism 2’ really lives up to the expectations.
