HRCP condemns Prof. Dr. Shabih ul Hasan’s murder, demands judicial inquiry

Lahore May 31: The Lahore members of Human Rights Commission of Pakistan in its monthly meeting on May 30, 2012 condemned the gruesome murder of Professor Dr. Shabih ul Hasan Hashmi
in strongest terms and demanded that the Punjab government should hold a proper inquiry. 

Lahore members observed one minute silence for the departed soul. They paid rich tributes to the services of Prof. Dr. Shabih ul Hasan in the field of literature and education and stated that Pakistan has lost a great scholar and
a teacher.

They expressed the concern at the police failure to round up the culprits and called for the protection of Dr. Shabih ul Hasan Hashmi’s family.
