Tamil actor R. Parthiepan: I don’t know who Veena Malik is!

After the likes of Sameera Reddy and Shriya Saran, R. Parthiepan, who is a Tamil film actor, director, film producer and writer, has also been approached for a Kannada film and the film in question is the Kannada remake of Vidya Balan’s ‘The Dirty Picture’, which was released last year on December 10.

He told TOI, “The associate director of the film did approach me with the offer, but I am yet to give my nod. I was asked to play the role Naseeruddin Shah did in the original. In fact, I have not seen The Dirty Picture yet. Only when I see the original, I can take a call on this film.”

The actress which has been signed for the Kannada remake is none other than the famous Pakistani starlet, Veena Malik, who has always remained in the news for wrong reasons. However, when Parthiepan was asked whether if he is excited to work with Malik, he said he passed on a surprising statement by saying that he doesn’t know who she is.

He added, “I don’t know who Veena Malik is. I only know that she has come from Pakistan.”

In the meantime, the actor was also asked about the reason why he has not signed the film as of yet.

Parthiepan stated that he had a bad experience last time when he signed a Telugu film ‘Rachaa’, in which most of scenes were edited out. Therefore, he wants his Kannada debut to be special.

“I shot for the film for a considerably long time but when the film hit the screens, my portions were miniscule. I was very upset. I don’t want a repeat of that for my Kannada debut. I want my maiden venture in Kannada to be special,” said the actor, who is now busy with the sequel to Pudhiya Paadhai, titled Meendum Pudhiya Paadhai.

All left and to see is whether if R. Parthiepan signs the film or not.
