Vidya Balan was the right choice for the song: Stanley D’costa

Bollywood actress Vidya Balan has recently performed in the song ‘Mala Jau De’ from the movie ‘Ferrari Ki Sawaari’ and it looks as if she has impressed her choreographer, Stanley D’costa, a lot.

Since the time Balan added some Marathi tadka in the song, D’costa is going gaga over her. D’costa has insisted that Balan was very cooperative with him during the rehearsals and no one could have done the song the way she has.

“I think she was the right choice for the song, and I don’t think anyone else could suit the song or the dance. Everything was perfect, right from her expressions to her costume,” expressed Stanley.

Vidya Balan rose to fame with her magnificent performance in the film ‘The Dirty Picture’, which was released last year on December 10. However, in order to fulfil the requirements she gained almost 15 kilograms of weight, which has now become the centre of attraction not just in the media but also among the audiences.

Nevertheless, D’costa revealed that Balan is completely unfazed with all the noises around her and she is perfectly comfortable in her own skin. D’costa thinks Balan’s weight has made ‘Mala Jau De’ a Vidya song.

“The day I met her for rehearsals, she told me, ‘I am not a great dancer.’ It’s her dedication as an artiste that made the rehearsal interesting and fun. I didn’t have to yell at her,” he shared.

How one delivers her expressions is the main thing, as it can make or break a song, and according to Stanley, Balan worked really hard on her expressions.

He said, “Usually during practice, actresses refuse to give expressions, saying that, set pe mein kar lungi. But Vidya, gave expressions during rehersals as well. And that shows in the actual song. I am happy.”

Well, all said and done, let’s see what Vidya brings for her audiences next time.
