Prime Minister of Pakistan Raja Pervez Ashraf addresses news conference about energy crisis

The newly elected Prime Minister of Pakistan Raja Pervez Ashraf recently met with the officials from the National Power Control Centre in order to be briefed about the prevailing energy crisis in the country. Immediately after the Prime Minister of Pakistan
Raja Pervez Ashraf was done with the meeting he addressed a press conference about the energy crisis in the country and asserted that resolving the energy crisis issue in the country is the top priority for him.

While talking to the reporters he said that he aimed to solve the prevailing load shedding problem in the country but also mentioned that it would be unrealistic to expect that the problem would be resolved any time soon.   

Prime Minister of Pakistan Raja Pervez Ashraf answered in the following manner when asked the expected deadline for resolving the energy crisis, "You are already not forgiving me over the earlier deadlines given by me. Let me assure them that everyone will
be treated equally and will get the electricity proportionate to their rights.”

The Prime Minister of Pakistan Raja Pervez Ashraf was indicating the recent deadline that he has received from the Supreme Court of Pakistan that has asked him to update on the status of the National Reconciliation Ordinance case and what stance he would
take on writing to the Swiss probe for restarting an investigation in which the President of Pakistan Asif Ali Zardari has been named for being involved in money laundering.

Prime Minister of Pakistan Raja Pervez Ashraf also sent out a message to the opposition leaders of the country asking them to work with the government in a collaborative manner to resolve issues of national interest positively.

In the end, some questions were asked from the Minister for Water and Power Chaudhry Ahmad Mukhtar about sacrificing his seat to any other representative from any other party. More specifically, it was asked whether Minister for Water and Power Chaudhry
Ahmad Mukhtar would give away his seat to Chaudhry Shujaat Hussain. However, in reply it was said that this would not be done as he was the winning candidate.
