Freddie Roach: I think Garcia is made to order for us!

Amir Khan’s trainer Freddie Roach is fully confident about his man and he believes Danny Garcia is not as tough as Lamont Peterson, who controversially defeated Khan last year on December 10.

The Bolton man, who is more commonly known as King Khan, will lock horns with the current WBC light welterweight champion, Garcia, on July 14 at the Mandalay Bay Resort & Casino in Las Vegas, Nevada and Roach is feeling very happy about the training and preparation for his man.

Roach recently shared his thought with BoxingScene, in which the Hall of Fame trainer insisted that Garcia comes nowhere near to Peterson. Roach said he is expecting Khan to win in a dominating way.

“No, I think Peterson is a much more experienced fighter. Much more polished. I think figuring the guys out and watching tapes of both fighters, I think Garcia is made to order for us,” said Roach.

Angel Garcia, Danny Garcia’s father, made many statements about Khan and Roach a few days back but when Roach was asked about it, he replied by saying that his son will pay in the ring for whatever he has said.

“It’s like, is it really worth a response?” said Roach as he chuckled.

“I don’t read the internet so I don’t read negative information. It’s not part of my life. Thing is, whatever he says, I talk about Sergio Martinez not being that good sometimes so it’s just talk” said Roach as he continued to laugh. “It really doesn’t affect me at all and best thing is it won’t help him at all. His son will pay in the ring.”

Well, all said and done, Khan will enter the ring as a favorite on the fight night but he will have to put in his 100 percent because Garcia can make any boxer look bad and he has never been defeated as of yet.
