Drowning Pool unveil Jasen Moreno as their new vocalist

Drowning Pool, an American rock band, have unveiled Jasen Moreno as the replacement of Ryan McCombs as the band’s vocalist. Morena made his debut with the band at a gig in Ardmore on July 8.

C.J. Pierce, the band’s guitarist, recently revealed in an interview that they are working on a new studio album, which will hit the stores in October 2012.

“We’ve been in the studio. Drowning Pool is recording a new record. We have three weeks left. I’ve been in the studio all year long and I haven’t gone out at all — 12-hour days, seven days a week; I’m not kidding. . . We were fortunate… Things have been, the last few years… I mean, things are flowing again. It’s been great. . . But the new record is heavier, there’s more metal on it, there’s a lot of double bass, a lot of guitar solos… stepping up a notch”, Pierce stated.

Moreno is expected to feature on every track of the band’s fifth studio record. The former ‘Suicide Hook’ singer is the third vocalist of the band since the tragic death of Dave Williams in 2002.
