Amir Khan hopes Golden Boy will convince Danny Garcia for a rematch!

Amir Khan lost his WBA title last Saturday to Danny Garcia at the Mandalay Bay Resort & Casino in Las Vegas, Nevada and he anxiously wants a rematch now in order to avenge his defeat.

In the post fight press conference Garcia’s father, Angel Garcia, refused to give Khan a rematch but the Brit still has his hopes high since he believes Oscar De La Hoya’s Golden Boy Promotions, which promotes both boxers, will find a way to make it happen.

While speaking on his inclusion, Khan revealed that he didn’t want to take on Marcos Maidana back in 2010 but he was forced to do so and therefore he is hoping for a rematch.

Khan said: “I know he doesn’t want to but Golden Boy have shown there is a way of trapping you in there and getting you that fight by cornering you. I didn’t want to fight [Marcos] Maidana [in 2010] that time but in a way I was trapped in a corner: I thought to myself, ‘I never want to give up my titles so I will take the fight’ because I was cornered.

“So the same thing, [if] he is in the corner there, he’ll have to take the fight. No fighter likes to vacate titles so, if Garcia doesn’t want to fight me, he might have to vacate the titles which I think is very bad. Let’s see what happens.”

The Bolton man, who is more commonly known as King Khan, entered the ring as heavy favorite against Garcia bit the American shocked everyone by upsetting him in the ring.

Khan, who desperately needed a win, was knocked down three times before the referee came in and stopped the fight.

Well, all said and done, a rematch between Amir Khan and Danny Garcia would certainly sell a lot because almost everyone out there wants to see if Garcia’s win over Khan was a fluke or not.
