Enzo Calzaghe: With the right trainer Amir Khan will be unbeatable!

Former WBA & IBF super light welterweight champion Amir Khan is the talk of the town since last weekend and the reason behind is obviously his shocking loss to Danny Garcia.

The Bolton man, who is more commonly known as King Khan, met Garcia last Saturday at the Mandalay Bay Resort & Casino in Las Vegas, Nevada.

Khan was a heavy favourite against Garcia but the American turned heads by knocking him down three times in the ring before securing a TKO win, in a fight which had WBC and WBA light welterweight titles on the line.

After the bout Khan stated that he couldn’t perform to his best because he did a lot travelling with his Hall of Fame trainer Freddie Roach ahead of the fight. Khan said he would pounder over his relationship with Roach since he believes Roach is not giving him proper time.

Though the Brit later on confirmed he is happy with Roach and will stay with him, boxing trainers around the world are still trying to get their hands on Khan.

Recently, father of the undefeated American legend Floyd Mayweather junior said that he would not say no to Khan, if he comes to him for training. Nevertheless, this time, Enzo Calzaghe, father of legendary boxer Joe Calzaghe, is after Khan.

While speaking on his inclusion, Enzo told the media that he believes in Khan and he wants to make him an unbeatable fighter.

Khan said, “My next goal is to talk to Amir Khan and his team. We spoke before, about three years ago. I have always believed Amir is a great fighter, despite what people think. People say he should quit but I don’t think he should be quitting. I believe with the right trainer – and my C.V speaks for itself – he will be unbeatable..”

Well, all said and done, Amir Khan is really on the wish-list of every trainer out there but let us see if how he deals with it.
