Wagah border: Rangers kill two smugglers

Lahore: (Saturday, August 11, 2012) The rangers have killed two alleged smugglers at the Wagah border, while two smugglers have also been reported injured in the operation.

According to the police sources, the incident occurred Friday midnight, when the suspected persons were seen near the international border. Upon observing their movement in the security red zone area, the Rangers signaled them
to halt to which they opened fire.

In the retaliatory firing by the Rangers, two alleged smugglers were killed, who are said to belong to Batapur. The injured smugglers were arrested while 150 bottles of wine and other drugs were also recovered from them.
