Islamabad: Federal Minister and Pakistan People’s Party’s senior leader from Sindh, Khurshid Shah said here today that the general elections could be held a month or two earlier the due date. However, he said that a final decision
in this regard will be taken after consulting the allied parties.

Commenting to Manzoor Wassan’s yesterday’s statement about the delay in general elections, Shah, who was talking to the journalists at the parliament house, said that it could be the personal views of the former Home Minister Sindh.

He further said that the existing assembly’s term will be complete on March 18, which would be followed by an interim setup. However, he said,  with the consultations of allies, the elections can be pre-poned for a month or two.
