Gunners crush Kops at their home ground – Premier League News

Lukas Podolski and Santi Cazorla fired their first goals and bagged three points for the North London outfit. They outclassed the Reds completely at Anfield and gained confidence boost.

After half four from start of the match, Podolski netted a spectacular goal from the Spaniard’s assist and let his side take the initial lead. He repaid Cazorla by assisting him for Arsenal’s second goal, ultimately rewarding glory to their side.

The Arsenal Boss, Arsene Wenger, stated:

“Everybody understood very quickly that Cazorla would not take six months to settle and Podolski is deadly when there is a chance, you see that in training. He showed good team work as well today, and I am pleased for them. Just Giroud needs a goal, but
as long as the team wins we know that will come.”

Arsenal dominated throughout the battle and through their exquisite and precise passing, they notched out a 2-0 victory. Cazorla and Abou Diaby stole the show in central midfield while Mikel Arteta was more on defensive side.

Alex-Oxlade Chamberlain started the match while Gervinho was rested on bench and this was the only change from last week’s match against Stoke City.

Wenger’s men failed to score in their opening two fixtures against Sunderland and Stoke City. However, after this epic victory, they sent out warning to the top English sides that they are still title contenders.

The Gunners’ tactician reflected about April’s game at Anfield and praised Liverpool:

“It is difficult. Today I felt we were more composed, we dominated in midfield and that gave us a good stability. We scored first as well in the first half. I still feel Liverpool are a good team because I saw them against Manchester City and they deserved
to win the game. You have to trust the team and they will come back.”

Currently standing eighth at Barclays Premier League, Arsenal will take on Southampton at the Emirates Stadium in their fourth Gameweek. With this victory

Elsewhere, Arsenal’s former captain, Robin Van Persie struck hat trick to lead his new side, Manchester United, to glory. He let the Manchester outfit register a 3-2 victory against the home team, Southampton.
