Indian actor Prithviraj Sukumaran is a superstar down South with 80 films to his credit and he is now making his Bollywood debut as the leading man in Sachin Kundalkar’s upcoming film ‘Aiyyaa’. In the film he will be featured opposite to Rani Mukerji and he has no qualms about the film being portrayed as Mukerji’s project.

Normally, males dominate the film but the main reason behind ‘Aiyyaa’s’ hype is not Prithviraj but Rani.

While speaking on his inclusion, the actor told the media that he knows the film is riding on Rani’s shoulders and he has no problems with it since he is new to B’town.

“I need to get real and I understand the fact that I am a beginner in Bollywood, the 80 films that I have done down South and who I am and what I have achieved there has nothing to do with what I am going to do in Bollywood,” he said.

Prithviraj insisted he feels lucky because to make a debut with Rani will lead him to many good Bollywood films ahead.

“Right now, the film will obviously be Rani’s responsibility because the minute someone as big as her walked into the film it became a Rani Mukherjee project. I think it is a great to make a debut in a way… it’s a vehicle in which you are travelling,” he said.

“The fact that Rani said yes to the film meant that it got bigger. At the end of the day I realise that all the buzz that is happening around Aiyyaa right now is because Rani is in it,” he said.

‘Aiyyaa’, which is scheduled to hit the cinema halls on October 12, doesn’t have a complex storyline. The film will feature Rani as a Marathi girl Meenakshi Deshpande who will fall in love with a Tamil artist Surya (Prithviraj).

Well, all said and done, let’s see if the film really impresses the audiences and generates a good amount of money at the box office.
