Nation continues to sleep as Pakistan sinks

The Pakistani nation is craving for a change and yet it is not ready to do anything about it. There is no electricity, no gas, no clean water. Inflation is touching the skies, whereas the unemployment graph is rising. The rich are getting richer, while the poor are getting poorer.

Despite this deplorable condition, the Pakistan nation is doing absolutely nothing about it. They think that by sitting on social networking websites such as Facebook and Twitter, they can bring about a change. This is nothing short of idiocy.

Do the leaders and law enforcers depriving them of their basic rights give two hoots about what the nation is saying on social networking websites. They are more than happy to loot the country and increase their pile of money in banks inside and outside of the country that they have been made caretaker of.

At times, one is forced to think that the leaders are not at fault. The temptation to take advantage of a sleeping nation is just too strong.

Another thing to take note of is the way majority of the nation is involved in corruption. Every second person is trying to cheat someone, earning more than what he deserves, not being loyal to his job and employers, paying less to his employees than they deserve.

It is said that the leader of a country is a true representation of the nation. That is absolutely correct in the situation of Pakistan.

The nation needs to wake up and do something instead of simply setting patriotic statuses on Facebook. Time is running out and they will not have too many opportunities to stand up and save the country from getting critically hurt.
