Bao Yixin, Tian Qing become victorious in Women’s Doubles event of 2013 Malaysia Open

China’s spirited Women’s Doubles duo Bao Yixin-Tian Qing remained invincible in the final round of Maybank Malaysia Open and claimed the crown on January 20, 2013.

They locked horns with the twosome of Misaki Matsutomo and Ayaka Takahashi in local badminton arena of Kuala Lumpur. This title match prolonged to 39 minutes and it ended with decisive figures of 21-16 and 21-14.

The Chinese campaigners played flawless badminton and locked the honour with a splendid straight-set victory.

On the other hand, the Japanese shuttlers could not continue their successful run and crashed out in a woeful manner.

In first set of the match, Bao Yixin and Tian Qing looked completely on song as they did not show any sign of confusion and played with great precision.

They laid foundation of their supremacy immediately in the beginning and maintained that upper hand all the way to final moments of opening game.

They finished first half of the set with an impressive score of 11 and then made best out of this advantage in latter part of the game.

Though, Misaki and Ayaka showed some spark but it was not enough to avoid a 16-21 defeat in this crucial game.

The second set of the match was also full of disappointment for the Japanese players as they could not end their bad patch and faced a disgraceful defeat.

Meanwhile, the twosome of Bao Yixin and Tian Qing showed consistency in its performance and wrapped this sho0owdown in a favourable manner.

They started the beating after the mid-game break and kept their challengers grounded throughout this set.

They registered a convincing margin of 21-14 and earned the right to raise Women’s Doubles trophy in the Malaysia Open.
