Nacho Monreal is delighted for his performance at Arsenal – Football News
Nacho Monreal is happy for his boss Arsene Wenger’s confidence on him. He is delighted that going straight for Premier League action after joining North Londoners boosted his confidence.
Arsenal new comer, Monreal, impressed his boss after displaying brilliant football skills. He made his debut two days after joining the Red Army against Stoke City. Monreal joined the London giants in the January transfer window this season and has made his impression on Gunners. He has made seven appearances for Arsenal and scored a goal as well against Swansea City. In addition to this he has easily adapted to life in United Kingdom.
The Spain International was quoted in an interview to the Arsenal Player:
“Since I’ve been here the manager has given me a lot of confidence and he’s been starting me. This has been very important for me because it helps a lot to feel that the manager has faith in me, especially as I’ve just arrived. This in turn this leads to good performances.”
Monreal has adjusted to the new life in England. However, he misses the sun and weather in Spain. He reflected:
“The worst change for me is the difference between a very hot town in the south of Spain and the freezing cold weather over here! However, London … one of the best city in Europe. It’s very diverse. Thanks to the help of Santi and Mikel I’m adapting well to the way of life over here and I’m happy.”
Arsenal is currently standing at number fifth with two points behind their local rivals, Chelsea. They will next take on West Bromwich Albion in an away match and are bidding to fight for a spot in the top four in order to qualify for next year’s UEFA Champions League.
