Pervez Musharraf’s wife flies back to Pakistan for his health

The former president and army general of Pakistan, Pervez Musharraf is currently admitted in the Armed Forces Institute of Cardiology (AFIC), and his wife has reportedly rushed back to the capital to check on him.

Musharraf is reportedly in the intensive care unit (ICU) of AFIC, and is undergoing medical examinations after every two hours.

According to sources, the doctors at AFIC are continuously reviewing his medical condition and will be deciding upon further courses of action. 

The former president is himself out of danger and has also spoken to his family members on phone. The senior doctors will however determine when he can be released from intensive care.

 Musharraf’s wife, Sehba Musharraf, who had left for Dubai yesterday had to rush back to Islamabad to check up on her husband and will be meeting him today after approval from doctors.

The retired general is currently charged with treason and is supposed to be appearing before a special court set up to try him. However, recent discovery of explosive material from the route he was set to take and then from near his farmhouse delayed the hearings. On his last hearing date he suffered from chest pain, after which he was rushed to the hospital for further examination.
