It was reported from Karachi on Tuesday night that a building located on Zaibunnisa Street, Saddar, caught fire and took several hours to douse down. There were people present inside the building while six fire tenders tried at first tried their best to bring the fire under control.

However, it took the fire department at least two hours to control the fire. It is being reported by eye witnesses that the fire was extremely difficult to bring under control. That is the reason why the fire department had to inject more fire tenders as six were not enough.

Therefore, thirteen fire tenders later joined forces to help extinguish the fire.

For now not a single casualty has been reported from the fire in the building. Expensive furniture and other accessories of the building have been totally destroyed but not even a single person was injured throughout the accident.

When the media personnel reached the site and inquired about the reason for the fire, no one could identify it. A few people believe that it was due to a short circuit, while others are of the opinion that it was because of a heater which fell on a carpet floor and then the carpet caught fire.
